It all started with me giving Wayne a ride to pick up his truck after work. As he climbed into my car his feet hit something on the floor that made a clanking sound. He asked what those were for and I said that I had just started pitching again in a horseshoe league in Santiago. His ears perked up and he said he would also be interested. I gave him the contact info and he joined the league! As we pitched against each other in the league I teased him that we needed a place to pitch once fall cold and snow hit (I assumed he had a buddy with a big heated shed that we could "borrow". He took the assighment and ran. He quickly came up with the idea to ask his Legion Club if we could utilize the old truck bays in the old fire hall that now served as headquarters for Legion Post 93 in Becker, MN.
